Why Cottonseed?

Pie ChartEco-Sol’s largest current project centers on cottonseed, a readily available and under utilized crop by-product. Currently in the U.S. soybean oil receives most of the attention as a biodiesel feed stock due to it’s abundance and present oversupply in the market.

Once a commodity that supplied a fairly large oil market in the Southwestern U.S., cottonseed is now overlooked as an oil feedstock and is used primarily as a cattle feed. Eco-Sol’s proprietary feed processing method allows us to once again make use of this crop as an oil seed, with biodiesel as the end product.

A Handfull of Cottonseed More importantly we are taking a crop by-product, improving it and finding potential new uses and markets for it. By sigificantly increasing the value added to this commodity, Eco-Sol helps realize it’s commitment to minimizing waste and increasing process efficiency, while reflecting our “closed loop” philosophy.
