Richard Percy, Ph.D.

Richard Percy, Ph.D. - Plant Geneticist/Arid Land Crops

Richard Percy received a B.S. in Biology from Texas Tech University in 1974 and his Ph.D. in Genetics from Texas A&M in 1983. As a Research Plant Geneticist for the United States Department of Agriculture’s Arid-Land Agricultural Research Center, Dr. Percy’s research focuses on enhancing the germplasm of both traditional and alternative crops to improve plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses prevalent in arid land agriculture. He has authored numerous papers on these subjects and is an authority on cotton growth in the southwest.

Dr. Dierig and Dr.Percy function in a strictly advisory capacity as per provisions of USDA policy. They have no holdings or other stake in Eco-Sol or Southwestern Agricultural Technologies nor do they receive any compensation. They have followed proper departmental procedure and have official approval to function in this capacity.
